I Know This Much Is True - Chapter 15

Dominick meets with Thomas' new doctor, Dr. Patel. She tells him that Thomas had an outburst in the cafeteria because of the cameras watching him. He ended up turning over the table dumping all the food off of it. The doctors in charge of Thomas want to up his Haldol, which Dominick knows will turn him into a zombie. Dr. Patel plays a tape recording of her meeting with Thomas, and then tells Dominick she agrees with him that increasing the Haldol isn't the best idea. Dominick is surprised that she agrees with him.

I Know This Much Is True - Chapters 13 - 14

Dominick remembers Ralph Drinkwater's twin sister Penny. She was abducted and murdered by the edge of the Falls.  Dominick felt guilty because the day before she died he had lied and said that Penny had stolen Oreo cookies, and got her in trouble with the principal. In Chapter 14, Dominick remembers the baby that he and Dessa lost when she was three weeks old. Angela died of SIDS. It ended up being the cause of their marriage failing because of Dominick's failure to express his feelings over her death.

I Know This Much Is True - Chapter 12

Dominick goes to visit his friend Leo.  He has known him since they were kids and wants to talk to him about Thomas' situation.  Leo is also Dominick's ex-brother in-law, married to Dessa's sister Angie.  Dominick remembers the old days when he and Dessa introduced Angie to Leo, and how Angie got pregnant.  Leo works for Dominick's ex-father in-law at a car dealership.  At the end of their visit Leo asks Dominick if he can be added to the short list of Thomas' visitors.

I Know This Much Is True - Chapter 11

Dominick goes to the doctors to have his injuries documented. He visits Ray to let him know what is going on with Thomas. Ray already knew because he had read about it in the newspaper. Dominick visits Henry Rood's house, a painting customer who's job he is behind on, and reassures him that he will return to finish the job soon.

I Know This Much Is True - Chapter 10

Dominick recalls a school field trip to New York City. Thomas ends up locking himself in the bathroom on the bus and almost ruins the trip for everyone.  Dominick ends up getting stuck with Thomas for the whole day of the field trip, because Thomas was upset after the incident. When they get home Dominick tells his mother the trip was boring, and doesn't mention Thomas locking himself in the bathroom.

I Know This Much Is True - Chapters 8 & 9

Dominick meets with Thomas's new social worker at Hatch. The social worker tells him about the "Psychiatric Security Review Board." They are a new government assigned commitee that will decide how long Thomas will have to stay at Hatch. Dominick also learns that he will not be able to see Thomas for at least two weeks. The social worker confidentially tells Dominick that he should go to a doctor and get his injuries documented.

I Know This Much Is True - Chapter 7

Dominick is recovering from his run-in with the security guards of the hospital his brother is now being kept at. He is very sore from being kneed in the groin area, and is considering sueing the guards for being rough on him. This chapter goes into Joy's past, and that she was abused by a family friend when she was younger. Connie Chung wants to interview Dominick about Thomas. Joy thinks he should do it, but he doesn't want to. Dominick tries to decide how to proceed in getting Thomas moved back to Settle.
